Bridging the Gap

Bridging the Gap

Our story begins at the lab bench.

While working in the biopharmaceutical industry, founder Hannah Doss experienced firsthand the technical and analytical hurdles that make viral clearance validation notoriously difficult. She recognized that the industry lacked the practical tools capable of delivering rapid, quantitative insights without the cost, complexity, and delays associated with traditional approaches.

Determined to bridge the gap between industry offerings and real-world laboratory needs, Hannah founded ViraGlo BioTech to help develop more practical, accessible solutions for virus validation testing. Today, ViraGlo is focused on eliminating those exact roadblocks, through innovative Fluorescent Viral Surrogates™ (FVS).

Hannah Doss, Ph.D.

Chief Executive Officer

Chief Scientific Officer

Hannah spent her Ph.D. creating and developing novel fluorescent viral surrogates. From her previously held industry positions at Bristol-Myers Squibb, Cubist Pharmaceuticals, and Genzyme Corporation, Hannah possesses expertise in clinical late-stage biologics process development and process characterization, as well as commercial manufacturing campaign oversight and next generation process comparability. Ironically, Hannah led and organized multiple virus clearance studies during her time in industry. As a result, the need for an alternative in this space has always been well familiar to her, and this was what inspired her to eventually create ViraGlo BioTech. Hannah earned her Ph.D. in Chemical and Biological Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, and her B.S. in Chemical Engineering (minor in Biochemical Engineering) from Northeastern University.
